Learn to play! It isn't hard, exactly. You can get some pretty nice sounding fun without a lot of work. On the other hand, if you want to become competent it will take a lot of work, but if you have it in you, perhaps you can be listed with the greats someday. Now there's a goal your parents will be proud to support... for the next 8 to 15 years or until they finally get sick of you and kick you out. Still, hopefully they'll let you live in the old Airstream parked in back of the garage.
